I think they finally are
starting to feel at home. When I went home to check on them, they were so
excited to see me, at least until I gave them a chew. Once they get a chew,
they don't really care what else is going on! Yesterday, I took them and our neighbor dog for a long walk
around the mountain. I had Hardy on the leash and Laurel off and they did
great. I switched, and put Laurel on the leash and let Hardy roam for a
while. Laurel doesn't do quite as well on the leash yet, but as you said, he
is so eager to please. They were doing so well, and getting along so
famously with Dot (the neighbor dog), that I let them both off for a while.
They did great for about five minutes, and then I had to chase them down. I
can definitely tell how dependent they are on each other. |

I absolutely adore these dogs, and can't wait to send you new photos of them
in their new home soon. I know they miss you, because I took their red
bandanas off because Laurel was pestering the daylights out of Hardy and
tugging his, and I put them on the floor to go to the laundry. They both
went right over to the bandanas and moved them to their blanket! What a
great foster mom they had. Thank you again. Mingus (above) and Dizzy
