Casey

Sweet Casey came to us at Christmas time through a series of unexpected coincidences. A co-worker sent a broadcast email about a Dal he found in his neighborhood. After much effort on his part to locate the real owner, he was begging for someone to adopt or foster this beautiful young lady since his old cats in the house did not approve of her residence. Dave and I were interested, but hesitant. We knew we always wanted another Dal as a friend for our nearly 9-year old female, but kept putting off the commitment for "when we were ready". Should we leap into this situation during the Holidays? Were we crazy?

We forwarded the email to Beth White, and got talking with Beth about other Dals in need of good homes. Beth's salesmanship got the best of us, and we agreed to "try out" another Dal named Casey for a week or so, since he would already be on his way through Denver from Utah. Very cunning, Beth... you knew we would fall head over heels in love with him!  After a very anxious evening of getting the dogs settled in, the dogs seemed to accept each other. On Christmas morning, Stormy showed Casey how to open his presents from Santa, they exchanged beds, bones, and became friends. Now they like to sunbathe together on the  bench in the South window, and seem to be growing closer each day.

Casey is a very loving, intelligent, happy young male. We just hope he loves us as much as we have grown to love him!
