Dottie was one of two
puppies who came from southern New Mexico where they were turned in to a
small-town pound along with six other dogs when the owner decided to
move. They only had three days to find a new home or they would have
been euthanized. These little girls were maybe 11-12 weeks of age,
extremely thin, filthy, pretty shy and obviously not well cared for or
loved. They were fostered by a very generous couple near Silver City who
taught the puppies how to play and eat and be dogs. When they arrived in
Colorado, they were spayed and placed with wonderful families. |

| We've had Dottie for about a month now and she is growing fast and is so spoiled! We have a big backyard and she loves to be outside. We have five other dogs too, she has plenty of company. Jesse has wanted a Dalmatian for years, but we were reluctant because we had heard that the were pretty hyper. However, Dottie is so sweet and lovable, and hasn't caused nay trouble at all (well, except for the dried flower arrangement!). She is a very good girl and we are all happy to have her as a family member, especially Jesse! |
