Daisy

I have had Misty, one of Beth's [Melody] puppies for 13 years, and had another puppy from Ft. Collins named Tailor Made for the same number of years. I lost Tailor due to illness in late February, and Misty was seriously grieving the loss of her lifetime friend. After talking with Beth, I decided an older Dal [rather than a puppy] would keep Misty company, but not be too active for her. So into our lives came a three year old little girl named "Daisy". Daisy arrived on 27 February and immediately appropriated the couch, the bed at night, and raced around the 1/2 acre yard chasing balls. The two cats were not impressed, but are slowly deciding she can stay. She is a lovely lady, and quickly got to know the horses, Rosie and Jubilee. Amazingly, with that unerring Dalmatian instinct, she follows the carriage in the field and stays right with us, just as if she knows that's her job. She totally surprised me by enjoying a ride "on" the carriage - many dogs don't like that unless they are accustomed to it as puppies.

She has truly been a blessing, and Misty perked up and they are slowly bonding together. I think they will be good friends.

Thanks, Beth - and thank you Leroy for bringing Daisy down.
