When I first learned about Chip (Chips) he was running out of time at Table Mountain Animal Shelter. It broke my heart to know a 10-year old dog was in a shelter and facing the dreaded "E" word. I quickly called Beth to schedule a meeting and happily learned Chip had been transferred to a foster home up in Cheyenne. What’s a 4-hour drive when you're looking for a new addition to the family? After meeting the foster family, I sat on the floor to meet the dogs. While the resident dog washed my ear, Chip casually came up to sniff me and in a few minutes climbed into my lap asking for a chin rub. It was the sweetest, most gentle display; he pretty much climbed right into my heart. By the end of the first week, it seemed like he’d been living with us forever. We've been together for close to two years now and Chip is still doing great. I'm not sure what took me to the Dalmatian Rescue website that day and I certainly never expected to adopt the first one I met! Chip has been the best companion a person could ask for. He’s always got a smile and is doing something goofy to bring a smile to my face. |

This
year, Chip and I started fostering other Dalmatians. Chip’s mellow
personality makes the new Dals feel at ease and he’s always happy to
share the couch with a new snuggle buddy. Thanks for introducing me to the joy of Dalmatians, Beth! |
