We adopted a Dalmatian named Cindy from the Topeka, Kansas Helping Hands Shelter. You had contacted us back in 2005 and knew we were looking for another Dal after we had lost our 10 year old. Cindy was on her last few days and you called us to see if we would be willing to consider her even though we lived in northwest Arkansas which was about five hours from Topeka. We went up and met her and I just wanted to let you know that six years later she is still doing wonderful. "Cindy" was renamed Speckles and we all now live in Winter Garden, Florida, which is just outside Orlando. I wanted to let you know she is well and thriving. She has two Chocolate Labs, a Yellow Lab (all rescues) and most recently a one-year old Deaf Dal we just adopted from Dalmatian Rescue of Tampa Bay. Speckles is eight years old and has a clean bill of health. She has a beautiful back yard and a swimming pool she enjoys on occasion. I just wanted to give you a long overdue update on one of your rescues. Thank you for all you do for the spotted ones. Tom and Tracy T. |
