Paisley

When we had to put our 16-year old dalmatian to sleep, we were devastated and weren't sure if or when we might be ready for another. But our house was so quiet and empty without a dog, so we started looking at rescue websites. Paisley was the only dalmatian available in our town, so we went to visit her at her foster mom's. She was sweet and quiet but she did sit down right on my husband's feet. We decided right away we wanted to adopt her.

She was just about to have puppies and needed to be spayed before we could bring her home. When we finally got her, she had stitches and was still a little under the weather from the operation. But it didn't take long at all for her to perk up and make a special place in our hearts. She has all the wonderful qualities we loved so much in our old guy, but with her own unique and wonderful twist. She is such a joy and a blessing. She is very affectionate and gentle. She is polite and well-behaved but she also can get riled up and play. She is definitely daddy's girl and the two of them go out walking or running everyday. She has no lingering effects of her prior life and she fits into our home and our lives perfectly. We take her with us everywhere we go and everyone remarks about how beautiful she is. We have probably taken hundreds of photos of her in the few weeks we've had her. Paisley will never replace our old guy, but she is making her own place and we are so happy. We look forward to many years of joy and happiness with her.
