Sparx

In October, after the loss of my elderly boy, Spot, Sparx came to be with me from a rescuer in Albuquerque. He was ever so worried and his ear was badly infected. He didn't seem to mind coming home with me though, and in his doglike manner it was clear he so wanted to please me. Sparx is a bit stoic. He doesn't do the smile and he has limited concept of playing, not interested in balls or toys. At the dog park he's easily put off by the four-legged friends but delights in greeting the humans. He lives for a walk and a frozen treat. Until recently he greeted me by diving onto his back at my feet. Showing just a little confidence, his new approach is on all fours and facing forward, mouth closed, eyes half closed and backside wiggling.
