Hi!

My name is Cole. My new Mom and Dad adopted me in September, and I am extremely happy now! When Mom and Dad saw my picture on the Dalmatian Rescue web site, they instantly fell in love with me. They said they could tell by my proud, handsome face that I was just the new kid they needed. When they came to meet me, I fell in love with them too.

Mostly, I stay at home with Dad all day keeping him company and playing ball or napping. Dad has severe sleep apnea, and although he sleeps with a CPAP machine there are times when he is in a deep sleep and will stop breathing briefly. One morning I went back to bed with Dad after Mom left for work (Dad does not get up as early as Mom), and I noticed he had stopped breathing. I nudged his hand and arm with my cold nose and he immediately woke up and started breathing normally again. I got lots of hugs and kisses all day for that! I go crazy when Mom gets home! After I run and jump around for a few minutes, I follow her around talking to her telling her all about my day and what Dad and I did until dinner is ready. Mom and I go for long walks several times a week. I also run around my new big yard playing or chasing all the birds and squirrels in my yard. That is really fun! One Saturday we all went to PetSmart for my nail trim, and they bought me a new toy and a bone for being such a good boy, then they took me to Burger King for breakfast. Mom cannot eat eggs so I ate them; oh so good! I sleep on their bed between them at night so it makes it real easy for me to keep track of both of them all night. Oh, and these crazy people do this thing they call a "Group Hug" where they hug each other with me in the middle! Wow, I love Group Hugs!

They have two grown children that come and go on weekends, AND their son has a darling little girl that I absolutely love! She rubs my back, scratches in all the right places, plays ball and sneaks treats to me as often as she can. It can't get much better than this! One day when she came to visit her grandma and grandpa (my new Mom and Dad), she cried because her daddy had to go to work for a couple hours and she missed him. I rushed over to her, put my head in her lap and talked to her softly, then I kissed her and licked away her tears. That made her smile and she gave me a big hug!

Well, that is just a brief summary of my new life with my new family! Can you tell I am spoiled already? Yeah, I'm loving it!!!
