Isabelle, better known as Izzy, came home with us in early August of 2009. She left her brothers, sisters, and incredible foster mom, Beth, for a new house and a new life. When she got to her new home, she met Heraldine (7 yrs), a big fluffy white kitty. The kitty did not care for Izzy. Over the time we've spent building our new family, Izzy and Heraldine have become best friends. On occasion, when no one is looking (or so Heraldine thinks), they even curl up for a nap together. Izzy has gone through puppy and dog training (all positive reinforcement), and has just one more class left until she gets her special vest. Everyone who meets her is amazed at how smart she is. She is an absolute joy! Izzy has a very large extended family that is dedicated to her, and enamored with her. Her Grandma and Grandpa have rescued several Dals over the years, and currently they have Maybe (12 yrs) and Ariel (10 yrs). Izzy's Aunt has two rescue labs, Tyson (5 yrs) and Sadie (5 yrs), and three rescue kitties; Cali (12 yrs), Neptune (5 yrs) and Nova (5 yrs). Everyone gets along wonderfully! Our entire family can not say enough about what it is to bring a beautiful creature into your home who truly needs it. The love, companionship, and wonder that come from relationships like these is amazing. Dalmatian Rescue of Colorado changed our lives by letting us be Izzy's family. We love her so much!
