Dotty

Life circumstances can change in a blink of an eye - Dotty did not understand how she could wake up froma nice warm bed and ended up sleeping on a hard cold concrete floor in the very same day... The only person that she loved all her life left her at a strange, unfamiliar place.

Her soft fur and clean medical records showed that she was once a pampered lady and truly did not belong there. She won everyone's heart at the shelter and they told us that she was jumping with joy each time they came up to her with a leash because she thought she was going HOME! Little did she know that her owner of 13 years would never take her back home.

That was then and the year was 2009 - we picked her up and fostered her for Beth and Patsy (Dalmatian Rescue of Colorado) as they were very concerned that the shelter would put her down. A year later on her 14th birthday we decided to adopt her and let her spend her final years in the same familiar place that she has since accustomed to. She gets along well with our three other Dalmatians despite their age differences. She would not however let us too close to her in the beginning but she has changed over the year. She loves to be petted and fussed over now and she can't stand being left along anymore. Yes, our Dotty is HOME now and we will make sure that she enjoys her retirement life here. She may only give us three or four years, whatever number of years she gives us we are happy to have her in our life. Thank you Dalmatian Rescue of Colorado for saving Dotty!
