Luna
(aka Tiana)

Luna (aka Tiana)

I was FINALLY at a place in my life where I was ready for a dog and Luna (formerly Tiana), at 4 years old was DEFINITELY in a place in her life where she was ready for a forever home.

I searched Colorado high and low waiting for some unknown feeling to arise with some unknown dog. I saw Luna’s picture and profile on the Dal rescue website and knew I had to meet her. She was VERY timid upon first meeting. It made sense because she had been found in the desert in NM and clearly had a less than perfect past.

About a month ago she moved from her wonderful foster home in Centennial up to the mountains with me. We hit the trails right away-- so many great scents to track! I am lucky enough to live at a camp where I work, so often enough she comes to the office with me and hangs out while I prep for the summer. She has quickly become a member of our camp family.

She loves destroying her stuffed animals and collecting bones and ice cubes. She is as mellow as can be when she is in the house- sometimes I am convinced she is part cat with her constant lounge act, but once her leash appears she is ready to go! With her help I am maintaining motivation to train for a half marathon (I am fairly certain it would not be possible without her).

Luna harbors wanderlust similar to my own and is happy to go any and everywhere. Her constant companionship has shifted my life in a fantastic way- there is nothing like the feeling of walking in the door to see a friend who can barely contain her tail she is so happy to see you. Thanks Dal Rescue!
