Ringer

Ringer

When I first met my new pup his name was Ringer and he was in his foster home. I instantly fell in love with his ears that were too big on his little face. His tail never stopped wagging and I knew I had to have him. At about 7 months, this little Dalmatian mix is an energetic pup that loves to run in the park, stare out the window at the garbage man and spill his water bowl where ever he sees fit. We go every where we can together. He especially loves coming to my Frisbee practices twice a week up in Fort Collins - and he doesn't mind the drive from Denver either.

I will say he does not like to be left alone at home. We are working together so he doesn't bark for moments on end when I shut the door. He's getting much better. He's also been hesitant around water, but he's showing progress in the bath tub. At least now he doesn't try to jump out while still all sudsy!! He is responding well to commands like sit, stay, wait (for food), okay (to come out of the car and to cross a street), and heel. He does however, seem to have a one-track mind when it comes to seeing other dogs when we're at the park. I currently use a simple, non-pronged choke collar which works perfectly for everything except meeting new dogs. He's very friendly - he just cannot meet EVERYONE in the park.

In good old puppy fashion, we enjoy walks and romps in the park, naps, eating breakfast together, chasing geese and more naps.

We look forward to spending a long time together!!
