We adopted Augie in October 2004. It had been six months since our first Dalmatian
(Sadie) had died and we decided we were ready for another one. He is a
sweet dog. He's a little on the chubby side but we are working on that. We've
decided he is big boned. He loves to go for walks and the dog park. The
first time I took him to the dog park I heard this high pitched whistle sound.
I thought it was the brakes on the car but it was Augie, looking at me wagging
his tail. When he gets excited he whistles. He sounds like
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It is funny. My daughter says he's
singing. He still follows me wherever I go unless my daughter has
food then he is chasing her around. He is a joy to have around. We
look forward to hiking and camping with him this summer.
