Remmy & Tico

Remmy and Tico had a rough start in life, but they've had a 180 degree improvement since they came to Dalmation Rescue. The two littermates were dumped near a ranch in New Mexico, starving and only about 6 months old. A kind human brought them inside and called Dalmation Rescue for assistance. Another kind trucker, transported them to two homes in Colorado where they were cared for by Dalmation Rescue until they were healty and adoptable. Now all they needed was a loving, permanent home.

When Ron and Ann heard about one of the pups, they adopted him and brought them home to Longmont from his foster home in Ft. Collins. They named him Tico and he joined a wonderful family with a yellow lab and a cat. During a picnic, Tico was met by Paul and Laura who immediately fell in love with the calm, friendly spotted fellow. One longing comment from Paul, "Gee, it would be great to have a dog like this" and Ann was off checking to see if Tico's brother, Remmy, was still available for adoption. When Ann confirmed that Remmy was still looking for a home, Paul and Laura quickly adopted Remmy from his foster home in Colorado Springs, into their Longmont family of 2 cats and a black lab.

Both dogs get to visit each other regularly since they only live about one mile from each other. They are filling out nicely and have become integral members of each of their new families. They no longer have to worry about living outside in the heat and cold and scrounging for meals. They are wonderful pets and will be loved and cared for for the rest of their NEW lives.

Here's a photo of both dogs together, Tico is on the left and Remmy is on the right.
