After exhausting our search for an adult
Dalmatian in Canada, we were encouraged to contact the Dalmatian Rescue
of Colorado. We
fell in love with the look of Chyna on their website, and began the process
of relocating her to our home near Calgary, Alberta. We were very excited
to meet our spotted beauty at the airport, and have not had a moment of regret
about the long distance adoption. Chyna is the most beautiful, loving dog
that you can imagine. She is the perfect daytime companion for my wheelchair
bound husband, and a great exercise companion for me in the evening. She
is very quiet and well mannered in the house and yard, but is playful and
happy when it is time for her run. I have nicknamed her "Wiggly" because
her whole body wiggles when she is happy! Chyna graduated from basic obedience
at the top of her class this spring. She happily traveled all across western
Canada with us this summer, adapting patiently to long hours in the car and
sleeping in strange locations. Chyna is the second Dalmatian that we have
owned, and we are totally sold on the breed! Thank you to the patient volunteers
and foster parents at Dalmatian Rescue of Colorado, who do such a great job
of finding homes for these truly wonderful dogs. A special thank you to Barb
and Beth who patiently facilitated our long distance adoption.
