You were quite right, she is a real sweet heart. I fact we have to wash her head now and then because everyone she meets has to pet her and hug her.......skin lotions, etc. kind of build up! People can't get over her ice blue eyes and tell her how beautiful she is. Here are a couple photos of the green belt network in our housing development. She and I walk about 3/4 of a mile in them twice a day. There is a nearby office park with a chain of lakes that she gets walked at.....only in summer and early fall because it becomes a Canada Goose "sanctuary" in the late fall and winter ........Annie has a real passion for goose poop! We changed her name because people cant pronounce the "L" in Colby so it comes out "Kobe".......Pat felt if wasn't really a feminine name and we felt we had heard the name Kobe....as in Kobe Bryant....more than enough, He affectionate nature is well served, we think with the name of Annie. She is doing well.....we haven't gotten any weight off of her but she is now in a little be condition. We have kept up using antihistamine because of her skin allergy and have been careful to continue the sweet potato and herring food. Annie has visited her MD. for care of her ear that was so damaged by the infections caused by the allergy. We flush her ear and use antibiotic regularly and she has shown no symptoms of skin inflammation. You would believe that she has not problem......but we keep up her treatment because we don't want to let it flare up......she has been very healthy and seems to me fine........She piddles once in a while so we keep up the sudafed as you recommended. She needed a little leash training, she kind of goes on the attack when passed by a dog on a leash. Annie also has tried to chase cars once in a while .....only specific situations but we know then and have her in her harness at those times. Those challenges are being met and aside from that every one loves Annie. She has a downstairs bed that she curls up in for daytime snoozes and a big cushion and shares out bedroom at night. She is very comfortable with all in our family.....daughters and their children live fairly close. She seems to be glued to me and there are very few steps I take without her with me. I will try some photos to show you her life style....hope you can open them alright. Best regards. George and Pat Ensign |
