Tracy
came to us on November 17th, 2006 from Colorado to Duluth Minnesota.
A friend of ours was in Colorado on business and came across Tracy,
who at the time, needed a home. He called me at work to tell me that
he thought Tracy would be the perfect dog for me, and if I wanted her,
he would be willing to bring her to Minnesota for me. I thought on
it for less than 24 hours, and decided that Tracy was the dog for me.
I had to wait approximately 10 days before I decided I wanted her until
the day she arrived. My family and I waited like anxious first time
parents, and made a family trip to petco to shop for her arrival.
We
had fun spending lots of money. When she finally arrived, she was more
beautiful than the picture I saw of her, and she was so sweet and precious.
She just showered us with kisses. For the first week, so seemed quite
insecure, but so good. Now, we are bonding quite well, and she seems
so happy. She is acting like real dog now- eating and drinking well,
playing, barking, begging, getting into things, sleeping well etc.
My friends at work gave me a suprise mini dog shower - with toys for
Tracy to play with. She loves them and we have fun playing together.
She loves to ride in the car and travels very well. She runs lots of
errands with dad. She is not thrilled with winter, but she has certainly
acclamated as if she were a true Minnesotan. We got a heat wave and
now it is in the 20's, and she is thrilled to play outside again. (She
absolutely will not wear the dog boots I bought her, but I'm not worried,
our previous dog wouldn't either!) I thank God for Tracy, every day
she makes us laugh and smile, and fills a void. We are blessed to have
her.
