As one of the original Blossoms (of “Clover and
the Blossoms”), I was born in early June 2005 at a cattle ranch in
Kansas
. We think Clover (my dog mom)
escaped from an unhealthy situation just in time to deliver her litter, as she
had hookworm and mange – which was passed on to us.
Luckily, someone from the ranch called Beth with Dalmatian Rescue of
Colorado, and Judy Pogue was generous enough to foster us all until we were
ready to be adopted into forever homes. My
forever family includes Baby (a 10 y/o Dal) and Circe (a nearly 2 y/o Dal, who
was adopted through Dalmatian Rescue in 2004) – these two women needed a man
to round out the family. Baby and
Circe were able to talk Mom and Dad into bringing me home.
Although I was rather shabby looking & stinky (from the mange),
they all welcomed me into the family and nursed me to health.
I’ve grown from 7 lbs when I first came home to a rather robust young
man at 40 lbs. I love visiting the
local off-leash dog parks and going to “doggie daycare” where Mom and Dad
can watch me on the web-cam, while they’re at work. Actually,
the daycare owner says I’m one of his favorites. Besides
my daily exercising, I spend most of my time lounging in front of the fire
with Circe and Baby (I’m the middle spots in the picture.) Thank you Beth
and Judy for helping me connect with my forever family.
