I just wanted to add our story because the
Dalmatian we adopted almost three years ago now is one of the best things in
our lives. We adopted Leilani (formerly Sweet Pea) from you on August 11,
2003, and even though we've had to work through a lot of issues with her, her
great big grin and unceasing love makes it all worthwhile. We love her enough
to want to adopt another when we have a little more income :)
Leilani is the sweetest girl--she wakes us up with a grin every morning, "sings" for her meals, plays hard in her big back yard, and is adorable when she's all curled up after a hard day's playing. She's never so much as snapped or growled at anyone, and she makes everyone smile when they meet her (we're talking big, burly motorcycle dudes cooing like grandmothers, here). We find it so hard to believe that anyone could have ever been cold-hearted enough to hurt her or let her run away, and we spoil her rotten to make up for it all. Leilani is the light and goofiness in this house, and we are so grateful that she found us, and so grateful to Dal Rescue for doing what you do--we can't imagine our lives with out this ball of energy with a grin attached! Thank you!!! We can't wait until we can get her a sibling! Jessie and Doug |
