Sadie-Lynn

Sadie Lynn—Welcome Home!

Sadie is all Pointer on top and all Dalmation underneath! Of course, she loves belly rubs. When she turns over for them, we tell her, “Present spots!” Her hair here is so fine and thin that she’ll glow pink when she’s warm from curling up on her pillow.

When she’s not sleeping, Sadie loves to run. She doesn’t pull on her leash, then, because we’re finally going at her pace! She heels well at a jog, and we’re taking her to obedience school to learn doggie manners. Already she sits when asked to greet guests. Everyone comments on how pretty she is! One time, somebody even pulled over in her car to ask what breed of dog she is. We get that question a lot between her patches and her spots.

The Pointer in her means she loves to search out small game. Her nose and her eyesight are incredible. She spots birds in the sky, squirrels in trees, and cats on the ground before I do. Usually by the time I see the cat, it’s already on the run! In the backyard, Sadie loves to chew on cow hooves—her favorite treat. Lately when we’ve left her, she has revamped our shoe closet. She’ll leave a trail of our shoes down the hall, through the kitchen, and out the doggie door. Sometimes she’ll match a pair and leave them, dropped perfectly, as though helping us to ready putting them on—probably to take her for a walk She never chews on the shoes, and she doesn’t like any other soft toy we’ve given her.

As much as we try to spoil her, Sadie is a pretty simple dog. Foremost, she just likes to be around us, whether in the same room or in the backseat of the truck. Sadie Lynn has fast become a member of the family, and we love her!
