CommentsPoor Pinto's owner died and he was left at the shelter. He came to us with missing hair due to flea allergies but that is easily fixed. Kill the fleas and the hair grows back in! Pinto is one very happy boy who loves being part of a family. He loves all people, big and small, and gets along well with other dogs, but does want to play with cats. No aggression, just pester. We think Pinto spent most of his life tied to a chain outside from his antics and thickened area around the neck. No one took time to train him until now. He is in a foster home in Ft. Collins where he is learning leash training and basic commands in sign language, since it turns out that he is totally deaf. And how quickly he learns! Pinto is very attentive off leash and shows no desire to wander far away while on walks and stays well in the 4 ft. fence. He wants to be with people and have a home! Pinto has a lot of energy for a 5yo and loves hiking, camping, jogging, swimming and playing fetch. Yes, he will bring the ball back! Pinto is housebroken. He is learning how to cuddle and has been introduced for the first time to a comfortable dog bed. He uses the dog door and loves sleeping outside in the sun and shade. From neglected yard in south Texas to rugged, exploring Colorado mountain dog, Pinto can be your active outdoor buddy! He's make a good jogging companion as well. Pinto is ready to roll!
