Brandon (aka Louie2) |

Brandon, also known as "Louie2" came into our lives in December of 2009. We never really knew how old he was or what he had endured in life before coming into rescue but he quickly fell in love with my daughter Kaitlyn. Time passed and it seemed a constant struggle to keep the weight on him but she'd spend hours if needed coaxing him into eating. He slept in the bed with her and protected her fiercely never allowing any harm to come to his beloved girl. They went for walks together and played together and he was her constant friend always there to listen. He waited for her when she'd leave and bound to give her Dalmatian kisses when she returned. When he was having a bad day she'd lie right next to him to comfort him and when she was having a bad day we always knew she'd be ok because Brandon was right there to listen. He soon became a beloved member of our family even though he was a foster he never knew we were supposed to be a temporary stop. He placed his paw prints on all who met him and he never met anyone he didn't like. Brandon will never be forgotten and will forever be loved and I'm certain he will be waiting at the Rainbow Bridge for the one who loved him most in this world - Katie. We will always love and remember you though you were with us such a short time you changed our lives... We couldn't fight the cancer any longer and so Katie stayed with you as the vet helped you cross. In her arms you always felt safe and in her arms you passed away. Though it was very hard she let you go to free you from your pain. We lost Brandon on January 30, 2011 and he will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure to meet such a wonderful gentleman as he. |
