Big Popi came to us from Texas in July, 2006. He was in bad shape when he arrived; skin rashes, open sores and just beat down from neglect in his former home. He quickly turned around and became a beautiful and silly companion who learned to trust people again. He was well known for his obsession with tennis balls, especially the ones that squeaked! Despite his chronic spine injury you couldn't get Popi to stop chasing his tennis balls. He was lucjy to have had two foster homes during his time with us, but we sadly lost him in the winter of 2007. He is sorely missed but we know he is pain free and running non-stop after those tennis balls! |
